FullThread Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 22, 2026
FullThread is a Chrome extension that verifies and exports the ChatGPT conversation open in the user's current tab. This policy explains how FullThread handles information.
Information FullThread accesses
When the user clicks Analyze or Load and scan full conversation, FullThread temporarily reads the visible and loadable content of the current ChatGPT conversation. This may include message text, code blocks, tables, formulas, links, images, conversation titles, and other user-generated content present on that page.
FullThread does not access other tabs unless the user activates the extension on them. It does not access ChatGPT authentication tokens, cookies, request headers, account credentials, or browser history.
How information is used
The accessed conversation content is used only to check whether the current conversation can be exported without detected structural gaps, display local message and content counts, and generate Markdown, JSON, HTML, or structure-report files when the user explicitly requests a download.
Local processing and storage
Conversation content is processed locally in the user's browser. FullThread does not transmit conversation content or usage data to the developer or to any third party. FullThread has no analytics, advertising, tracking, account system, or remote server.
Conversation data is held only in the extension popup's temporary memory while it is open. FullThread does not store conversation content in Chrome storage. Exported files are saved only when the user chooses to download them and remain under the user's control.
An exported Markdown or HTML file may preserve links or image URLs that were already present in the conversation. Opening those links or loading those remote images later may contact their original hosts; that activity is performed by the application opening the exported file, not by FullThread during export.
Sharing and sale of data
FullThread does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user data. No human, including the developer, can access the conversation content processed by the extension.
Permissions
activeTab: allows FullThread to access only the tab on which the user explicitly invokes the extension.scripting: allows FullThread to run the local conversation analyzer in that active tab after the user clicks a FullThread action.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
FullThread's use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide the extension's single user-facing purpose and is not used for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
Changes
If FullThread's data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed version is published.
